Just an update here before the next day comes around. I still have just one donor on my Go Fund Me campaign for my book. 

My proofreader is on Chapter 2 right now, but I'm still behind in my $2,000.00 goal. What can I say about the book? Right now I can't give you any excerpts for obvious reasons. But I can say this. Again, but in a different way. Our island Maui, has changed drastically. And I'm mostly focusing on human behavior. There's a lot of poisoned souls here, don't want to be negative. But yeah... imagine a pretty woman, you marry her.. but in time because of the media and outside influences, she's changed, her morals changed, she was once a clean soul, nothing dirty about her. STILL WAY BACK OF MY GO FUND ME GOAL OF 2K

My Go Fund Me campaign isn't going off to fund the publishing of my book Maui Is Fd. 

My voice speaks for thousands on Maui island that feel that the paradise is all bullshit, as we have many social dysfunction. Our island was once a cool place to live, people truly got along, but there's division here. The biggest is the income level. We have a meth addiction problem, kids without a strong family, we have a lot of broken people here. Maui Is Fd, is my voice on what's happening, it's done in a stand up kind of way, I try to use humor, I am vile at times, but I always point out that I am human, I have a heart, and compassion for people, especially the many homeless that are living at the beach, in the hills or under highways and sewage pipes. Maui Is Fd. I hope I can truly raise the funds, if not that's alright, I'll find a way to get it out.

CHAPTER 1 IS PROOFREAD ON TO CHAPTER 2

Chapter 1 is proofread, on to chapter 2. Still way short of the Go Fund Me goal of $2,000.00. Again this book is about the other side of Maui, the side of her that's not all rosy and sunny. We have some bad vibes here like anywhere else. I'm speaking for thousands on this so called magical island and how they feel as well.

Today January 22, 2016 Highway 30 the main artery that links the west side of Maui to the rest of the freeking world had a slow down. Apparently a brush fire on the Pali slowed down motorists big time. 

People missed flights, missed their haircuts, missed their court dates, missed their extramarital flings, you name it it is here, Maui Is F'd.

GO FUND ME (FUND MY BOOK)

Maui Is F'd. Is in the process of getting proofread, and then it's off to the printers. I need some help to make this happen. WAITING FOR PROOFREADING

Waiting for a proofreader to go over my first draft of my book Maui Is F'd!... Lining up the dollars to make this happen.

Let's take a look at what else, what will the cover look like? I think just black with white text just simple. No f...ng palm trees or surf, because the book isn't about paradise and sunshine it's about life and the social ills on this Valley Isle.

READING CHAPTERS

I finished 8 chapters for the first draft of Maui Is F'd! And I reread the first 4 chapters. I can tell how I was just blazing through some parts of the book. I couldn't make out what I was trying to say, and I was using the same old words over and over again. Definitely will need to re-write most of the chapters, and have an editor go over the whole manuscript, and think of a writer to write the Forward.

I'm about to start another chapter, number 9... this chapter will discuss the needs on Maui, and the politics involved in everything, with all the bullshit involved, red tape, all that shit. I think I'll do a take like "What if I ran Maui." And let loose. After all, I'm not an educational writer, I just want to make people... laugh. I think. Yeah, that's it.

CONTINUING CHAPTER 8

It's a new day, and my mind really isn't in a writing frame. I feel sluggish but I know I need to keep on moving forward. Chapter 8 isn't one I can just breeze through because I need to research some dates. I'm talking about the plantation era, business and the communities. 

BEGINNING CHAPTER 8

Falling asleep at the Macbook Pro. I guess chapter 8 will have to wait a bit until I can feel good. Just don't have it right now. Hopefully, later this evening or so, I'll get it going.

CHAPTER 7s FIRST DRAFT IS DONE

Reviewing chapter 7s first draft, it was going over the organic and natural people on Maui. That's all. 

Now on to chapter 8, I will go over some of my thoughts on the sugar plantation as  the last sugar mill will cease operation this year, laying off about 600 workers.

CHAPTER 7 MORE OF THE SOCIAL DYSFUNCTION

It's Thursday, January 14, 2016, I'm on chapter 7 of my book. I'm just discussing many of our social dysfunctions on this island everyone thinks is just paradise all around. "Hey Ron, come over let's party man." I hate to be a party pooper, but shit I ain't coming, I need to be in total seclusion for a while. Get away from people period. After working in the visitor industry most of my life, I hit the fucking bottom! I was just over the talking to people, it was senseless shit! "Aloha, mahalo, you guys have a great one." I was a tourist whore. Selling my fake smile, okay sometimes it was genuine, I'm just being real. I was burnt out with that shit. I could give a shit where you came from, or if it was your first time here, I just didn't give a fuck! So hence I am an author. Do I give a shit if you like my writings or not? Nope, I don't give a shit, you either like me or not, plain and simple, and if you dislike me, good at least I know don't bother to fucking waste my time on you!

GOING OVER CHAPTER 6 AND STARTING CHAPTER 7

As I sit here at the Queen Kaahumanu Center's food court on their very slow wifi, shit it's free I"m not complaining, I'm going over chapter 6, and then begin chapter 7. Have a nice day you all.

CHAPTER 6 TOUCHES ON THE HAWAIIAN DIVIDE

Chapter 6 begins, tired and beat up mentally, physically too. Burned through chapter 5 earlier today, at the same location, Barnes & Noble's cafe. Writer's drain. I know what I'll be writing for 6, it's going to be about the great Hawaiian divide. Touching on the two camps of Hawaiians. The ones with pride and understand that hard work brings success, they realize what took place in 1893 in that the Hawaiian Kingdom was overthrown by the Americans. However the Hawaiians in this first camp do not feel victimized, they are strong and use what God has given them to survive in the so-called white man's Hawaii, the white man's world with white man's rules and laws.

The other camp, number two houses the lazy, the victim of what happened in 1893, until this day they call for recompense. Rightfully so, if there is any injustice of humanity, the victims should be done right. However, there must be a time to say, "Okay let's move on, be strong and be free, and not depend on anyone's assistance for if we carry on on our own, no one, no one can take what we've worked hard for, our spirit of moving forward and to teach our young to do the same. But no, this camp plays the victim from generation to generation. I can see their Hawaiian, Kanaka Maoil ancestors rolling in their graves. To be lazy in most cultures is a shame, it is a sign of weakness, something these victimized Hawaiians do not understand. 

FINISHED WITH THE FIRST DRAFT OF CHAPTER 5

Grueling three hour session at Barnes & Noble's cafe writing the first draft of chapter 5. This chapter covered some of my friends who went on the wrong side of the law. What happened to them and why. Just my take on the social ills on Maui.

CHAPTER 5 COMMENCES

Chapter 5 begins today as I sit in the cafe at Barnes & Noble, yesterday was a blank page, sat at my Macbook for hours and was writing nonsense, then I stopped and couldn't do a thing. Writer's block?

I had to FB message Ilima Loomis who is a seasoned professional journalist to get some input on the "Blockage," she said to just leave it for another day. Well today is that other day. My mind is fresh, I think I know what I"m doing. Let's a pray.

END OF FIRST DRAFT FOR CHAPTER 4

Just finished the first draft of Chapter 4. Just gave the reader my perspective on basically the stupid things people do in the presence of nature. That's about all. I talked about a buddy and his wife going fishing to be disappointed because of tourists. You know shit like that. I don't expect to win any literary awards with this book. And I certainly don't expect to be invited to the White House to sign an autograph copy for the president. Haha.

END OF FIRST DRAFT FOR CHAPTER 3

Done with first draft of chapter 3, just saying in my own words what the cost of living is like, how people deal with it.

STARTING CHAPTER 3

Social ills, high cost of living destroying some. Chapter 3 just focuses on the high cost of the basic necessities, and how wages can be low, with some struggling with high cost of medical care.

FINISHED CHAPTER 2's ROUGH DRAFT

This is an update, for my book MAUI IS F'D! I hope you all would not prejudge the book, in this book it's about what's happening on this island in front of our eyes, and behind the scenes. I want people who live here who are jaded to our problems to wake up and smell something! And for the visitors coming here, it's safe, but we do have a lot of crap you aren't too aware of, I'm just writing the book because I want to and don't expect anyone to like it, I'm just doing it, if you like it fine, if not I'm still getting up the next day, or I'll be dead, one or the other. But life will go one despite how this book will be received. 

As I look at my notes for chapter 3, I want you to just be good to each other, that's all, be kind souls. Alright. I'll keep you up to date on the book, and chapter 3.

UPDATE CHAPTER 2

Chapter 2 is half way done, just touched on my buddy who had a photo business on the local train ride, and how he got let go with no recourse, legally speaking he couldn't afford the hassle. Another one of businesses injustices, the dude with a sack of cash will beat the guy with just pocket change in court...most of the time.

CHAPTER 2 IS ON IT'S WAY

What the Chapter is all about so far is I'm just raging on this wealthy butt hole rider that is pissed off because he can see some local tour busses stopped on the side of the highway, which is like three hundred yards from his house. It has no way of interfering with his privacy. But he bitched and got his way. And the other was about some wealthy woman that needed financial assistance to get her little girl into a private school. Yeah right!

I BEGIN CHAPTER 2'S ROUGH DRAFT

I begin Chapter 2's rough draft focusing in my own views on the so called wealthy people that move here and confine themselves to their gated communities, and step into the town where everyone meets to socialize and shop, only to act like their crap don't stink! Do I hate these people? No I don't, because as a pastor I must accept everyone for who they are and pray for them. And I was just kidding I ain't no pastor. Shit leave me alone I'm getting to work now.

CHAPTER 1's rough draft is done

Chapter 1's rough draft is done. I went over some of my experiences with the homeless people with mental problems. It was just my take simply on what these mentally ill homeless people from the U.S. mainland are like in the local community.

I am not a person that hates other people, however I do hate what they do at times, like coming on to the county buses  with the stench of urine and feces in their pants, from them taking a bath in the sinks at the local Mc Donald's, to threatening others for no reason than insanity. What are my goals? My goals are to be the best writer I can be with the remaining days of my life. I'll be 52 in August. By the time I'm 62, I want to have written many books on life itself from my perspective, and others that have an influence in my life. I hope to get Maui's F'd Up published as soon as possible.
